Senate, House Committees to Hold Hearing on Veterans Issues

The Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee and the House Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee will hold a joint public hearing on Wednesday, January 24, at 9:00 a.m. to consider issues that impact Pennsylvania’s veterans, according to Senator Randy Vulakovich, Chairman of the Senate Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness committee. The hearing will take place in Hearing Room 1 of the North Office Building of the State Capitol Complex in Harrisburg.

The committees will hear from state Adjutant General (Maj. Gen.) Anthony Carrelli and several other military and civilian officials from the state Department of Military & Veterans Affairs, including the commandants of Pennsylvania’s six veterans’ homes.  Also scheduled to appear at the hearing are officials from the State Veterans Commission, the Pennsylvania War Veterans Council and the Pennsylvania Department of the American Legion.
